A day of rest... Beautiful. Outside our balmy high 60s weather is blowing away and taking all of the dust in the county with it. Tomorrow winter is supposed to stop by for (hopefully) one last visit, and will camp out for a few days.
As quickly as the whether changes around here, so do the circumstances we find ourselves in. One moment it’s the six of us at home; the next, only two.
Today, Mom, Tash and I keep the hearth warm while Dad is back east for a board meeting and the other two are in Cambodia.
It seems I’ve managed to remain in the “home group” every time for a month running. All good with me. But even the homies have been running.
In less than a month I take to the skies alone again on business, while the family attends an annual Family Camp in Oklahoma- the first I will have missed.
With everything a buzz as it is, I’ve started at least 3 blog posts that met circumstantial obsolescence before they went into circulation. So, I figured I’d just post a few random photos from our last few weeks to start, and worry about posting the reverie later.
A few weeks ago while the rest of the kids were gone, the dog and I set our sights on a summit. The snow kept us from reaching the top, but it was an adventure..
Snapped a shot of the lake as we drove by
Spring Fever is in full swing
A little Aussie friend perched over the nursery
I helped the dear sister prepare a little celebration for Tash and a few others in the family before she and Sean left for Cambodia
Chantee made some absolutely exquisite gustatory delights
All for now. :)
Thanks for sharing! We will miss you desperately at OKFCM. And for more than you technical abilities, although I must admit I'm trying not to freak out. Not exactly sure how it worked out that both of my audio guys are absent the same year. Looking forward to having you back next year. Blessing on all your travels in the mean time.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jenae! _Trust me_, I try not to think about it too much... :$!
ReplyDeleteIt's blessed to be about our Father's business.
Thanks for sharing the pics Joshua! We will miss you at OKFCM. Just hoping I won't have any questions with cello, while we're there. I'll be praying for safe travels for you! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Kitten! Will miss you too! I'm sure you'll do just fine. :)
ReplyDeleteI really like the photos, Joshua! I especially like the one of your dog! I'm so glad to see you posting!
ReplyDeleteHi William! Good to hear from you, buddy! Glad you liked them. :)
ReplyDeleteThose gustatory delights do indeed make my mouth water! :) Did you have a pictures of the cake completed?
ReplyDeleteKnow you will be very missed at OKFCM, but very prayed for in your absence… :) It definitely is a privilege to be in the Lord's service.
Ikr! Chantee has fine culinary skill!
ReplyDeleteI didn't think to post any pictures of the finished product. :D I had to abandon the project when I was only half way down the cake, so a young neighbor finished for me. :)
Appreciate all the prayers!! The cause can use them all!
Recipes please?! Pictures of food should not be allowed to be posted without their recipes.
